Perspective-taking
The Two Chair Perspective Shift
10 minutes
Step into someone else's shoes — literally — by physically switching chairs and arguing their side.
- 1Place two chairs facing each other.
- 2Sit in chair A. Speak your side of a recent disagreement out loud for 2 minutes.
- 3Switch to chair B. Speak as the other person — using 'I' not 'they'.
- 4Switch back. Notice what feels different now.
- 5Write one sentence about what changed.
